Pearlcrest Hospitality Training Institute (PHTI) is a project of Kyoga Foundation, which promotes social welfare in Uganda. Pearlcrest offers Professional Courses in the Hotel and Hospitality Industry to young women in Uganda, at the technical and supervisory level. The development of these skills is seen as an important contribution to the economic, industrial and social needs of Uganda. The Institute provides educational services at subsidized costs to enable more Ugandan women to acquire professional training and therefore improve their living conditions. Pearlcrest gives girls life long skills in catering, management and hospitality.
Pearlcrest offers Diploma in Catering and Hospitality Management and Certificate in Catering and Hospitality Management.
Our mission is to offer young women, an opportunity to improve their lives and the lives of their families, by giving them high quality training in Hospitality and Accommodation Management, as well as equipping them with social skills. The training is aimed at developing the students into women of integrity and maturity, who possess the relevant quality skills demanded by the Hospitality and Catering sector in Uganda.
For the formation of self reliant students, the Institute gives the trainees the necessary knowledge, skills and attitudes that enable them to start, operate and manage personal or group business enterprises. It also instils in them the drive needed to venture into profit making activities. The course is open to young women from all over Uganda, regardless of tribe, religious denomination or background.
