Teemba Study Centre offers cultural and other formative empowerment programmes to women. Up till 2009 it was responsible for carrying out the Development activities of Kyoga Foundation. Teemba aims at forming young girls and women from all walks of life culturally, socially and professionally. Teemba Study Centre assists young people to grow in maturity and responsibility through the practice of Human values. The activities offered aim at helping the girls develop a culture of study and work in an atmosphere of companionship and team spirit. In the course of each year, we have a number of activities aimed at attaining these goals. .

Several questions are raised by the professional women who visit Teemba Study Centre. To address these questions, Teemba invites renowned professionals from the East African Region to speak to the women about different topics of interest. Among the themes dealt with at the conferences held were; Personal ethics at the work place and elsewhere; the family and work.
Since Uganda celebrated fifty years of independence in October 2012, we organised a series of cultural get- togethers on the different regions of Uganda and their cultural practices. The girls participating in the activity worked in teams with each team representing something typical of their region. The aim of this activity was to help the girls gain in knowledge about the diverse Ugandan culture, appreciate the differences and learn from each other.
Lily girls’ club is a club for girls aged 8 to 19 years, run by Teemba Study centre. The club organises fun activities for the girls among which are cookery lessons, swimming, art & crafts, camping and study. The highlight of the Lily club’s activities is usually their family day in which the girls and their families compete for a prize.
A number of individuals are keen on improving their cookery skills. Thus among the activities that Teemba organises are cookery demonstrations for school girls, university students and mothers.
This club carries out outreach mobile clinics to various low income areas in and around Kampala and Wakiso districts. The members of this club are medical practitioners together with medical students who pool resources from among themselves and other well-wishers to provide medical attention and other services to people living in low income areas. Some of the areas served include Gerenge landing site, Katanga among others.
Every year, university students from other countries such as Britain, Spain, Germany etc. coordinated by Kyoga Foundation Ltd partner with local university students to raise funds and improve the learning conditions of young Ugandans in rural areas by building classrooms and sharing their knowledge.
